{"id":221,"date":"2016-05-03T02:17:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-03T02:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fidelitydataservice.com\/us\/?p=221"},"modified":"2016-05-03T02:17:00","modified_gmt":"2016-05-03T02:17:00","slug":"temp-agency-drops-the-ball-sex-offender-working-at-a-day-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fidelitydataservice.com\/us\/2016\/05\/03\/temp-agency-drops-the-ball-sex-offender-working-at-a-day-care\/","title":{"rendered":"Temp Agency Drops The Ball, Sex Offender Working at a Day Care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-131 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fidelitydataservice.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/bigstock-Stressed-Young-Woman-In-Front-53878684_02.jpg\" alt=\"Sex Offender Working at a Day Care Attacks\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A registered sex offender on the Illinois Sex Offender website was found to be working at the \u201cLittle Green Tree House\u201d Day Care facility in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>The offender, Eric Ellis, was placed at the Day Care facility by Food Team, Inc. a Chicago area Temporary Employment Agency.<\/p>\n<p>Investigation found court records that indicate Ellis was convicted of Criminal Sexual Assault for repeated sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl. He served 4 \u00bd years in prison, was barred from working around children and was placed on the sex offender registry.<\/p>\n<p>One aunt of a child attending the Day Care facility said of her sister, \u201cthey pay a lot of money and you would expect excellent service and excellent background checks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A manager at the Day Care Center said that they use a temp service when the kitchen staff is sick and the Temp agency is responsible for doing a background check on those it employs. Obviously they were not OK with the Agencies Background Check.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services has launched \u201cboth a child protection investigation and a day care licensing complaint.\u201d The spokesman noted that it is the responsibility of the Day Care to ensure the background checks are done.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if the Day Care facility will bring a lawsuit against the Temp Agency.
